Nuberg EPC has secured a major international contract from Msufini Tanzania for the review, design, procurement, installation, construction, and commissioning of a 45 TPD Chlor-Alkali Plant in Tanzania’s Mlandizi District.

This marks another significant milestone in the company’s expanding global portfolio.

The project, located in the Coast Region of Tanzania and targeted for commissioning by January 2027, will strengthen the country’s domestic chemical manufacturing capabilities while supporting industrial growth and job creation.

Under the contract, Nuberg EPC will deliver the project on a turnkey basis, deploying advanced process technologies designed to ensure high operational efficiency, reliability, and compliance with international safety and environmental standards. The company will oversee the entire project lifecycle, backed by stringent quality controls and comprehensive project management systems.

The upcoming facility will produce chlorine and caustic soda as its primary products, alongside a range of downstream chemicals and derivatives, including hydrogen, hydrochloric acid (HCl), sodium hypochlorite, liquid chlorine, caustic soda lye, and caustic flakes.

These products serve critical sectors such as water treatment, sanitation, pharmaceuticals, textiles, paper and pulp, plastics, and chemical manufacturing.

Strategically located in Mlandizi District, the project site offers access to key transportation corridors and port infrastructure, facilitating efficient logistics and supply chain operations. The development is also expected to generate direct and indirect employment opportunities while boosting industrial activity across the region.

Beyond expanding local production of essential chemicals and reducing import dependence, the project is expected to support Tanzania’s broader industrialization agenda by encouraging downstream manufacturing and economic diversification.

Sharing his perspective on the development, AK Tyagi, Chairman & Managing Director, Nuberg Group of Industries, said, "We are delighted to have been entrusted with this strategic project in Tanzania, which further augments Nuberg’s global EPC portfolio and strengthens our presence in high-growth international markets.

"Africa continues to offer compelling opportunities for industrial and chemical sector expansion, and our partnership with Msufini Tanzania Ltd. reflects a shared vision of developing resilient and future-ready industrial infrastructure."

He further added, "This project is integral to supporting local industries through reliable access to essential chemicals, thereby enabling value addition across multiple sectors. At Nuberg, our focus remains on delivering engineering excellence, upholding the highest standards of safety and quality, and ensuring disciplined project execution within defined timelines."
