Univation Technologies, a global leader in petrochemical technology licensing, and C3 AI a leading enterprise AI software provider, have announced a strategic partnership to deliver AI-driven predictive maintenance solutions for the petrochemical industry.

With this agreement, Univation will license and distribute the C3 AI software currently utilized by its parent company, Dow. Additionally, Univation will offer specialized technical support to ensure a smooth initial implementation and provide ongoing enhancements to optimize the software’s performance for customers.

“C3 AI has played a crucial role in shifting Dow’s operations from reactive to predictive, significantly enhancing asset performance and delivering measurable value,” said Debra Bauler, Chief Information and Digital Officer at Dow. “As we expand these solutions across Dow’s portfolio, we expect to unlock substantial benefits. We’re excited to continue our partnership with C3 AI to further develop a world-class predictive maintenance program and identify new opportunities to boost efficiency, reliability, and productivity across our operations.”

Nathan Wiker, President of Univation Technologies, stated, “The C3 Agentic AI Platform delivers transformative operational advantages, taking predictive maintenance for steam cracker operations to an entirely new level.” He added, “This powerful synergy — combining the C3 AI Asset Performance Suite, Dow’s proven track record in deploying it across critical operations, and Univation’s global expertise in delivering world-class technical services — marks a new era of preventative maintenance in the petrochemical industry. We are confident that our AI-driven solution will significantly enhance asset availability and uptime for steam cracker units, while also delivering substantial cost savings.”

“As a trusted leader in predictive maintenance, we’ve made Enterprise AI a fundamental capability for modern industrial operations,” said Ed Abbo, Chief Technology Officer at C3 AI. “Our collaboration with Dow has set a benchmark for how industrial companies can leverage AI to boost efficiency, lower costs, and enhance performance.
