Chemplast Sanmar Limited is all set to acquire a 27% equity stake in the solar power producer Yesaryes Energy Private Limited. The all-cash transaction, valued at Rs. 45 lakh, will be executed across one or more tranches. It is accompanied by a formal Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Yesaryes Energy and a Share Purchase Agreement with the seller, Veebee Yarnntex Private Limited.

Yesaryes Energy operates a 37.5 MW solar power plant in Tamil Nadu, which commenced commercial operations in April 2026. This acquisition allows Chemplast Sanmar to source clean electricity under the Group Captive Power Plant Scheme for its own industrial consumption.

As chemical manufacturing processes are inherently energy-intensive, electrical and thermal energy constitute a major share of the company's operating expenses. By transitioning to a group captive model, the company secures environment-friendly electricity at tariffs structurally lower than standard commercial grid rates.
