BPCL to invest Rs. 1,138 crore for CCKPL and IDPL

The Board of Directors of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) at its meeting held on 12th September, 2024 has approved augmentation of Cochin Coimbatore Karur Pipeline (CCKPL) and Irugur Devangonthi Pipeline (IDPL) along with setting up of Palakkad TOP Kerala.

Existing pipeline capacity of CCKPL Pipeline is 3.3 MMTPA and IDPL Pipeline (under construction) is 2.4 MMTPA. Existing capacity utilization of CCKPL Pipeline - 125% and IDPL Pipeline (under construction).

Proposed capacity addition of CCKPL Pipeline is 3.7 MMTPA and IDPL Pipeline (under construction) is 1.1 MMTPA. The proposed capacity is to be added within 36 months from obtaining statutory approvals or securing the land whichever is later.

Investment required is Rs. 1,138 crore and mode of financing is Rs. 1,138 crore Internal. To facilitate efficient evacuation of finished petroleum products ex BPCL Kochi Refinery (Capital expenditure includes Capex for associated facilities and setting up of oil storage terminal at Palakkad, Kerala).
