The chemical industry is pivoting from fossil fuels to renewable carbon—like biomass and CCU—and green electricity. To keep this transition affordable, companies are moving beyond a simple reliance on the grid. Instead, they’re adopting a hybrid model that pairs solar and wind with on-site storage, waste heat recovery, and AI-driven energy management. By electrifying lower-temperature processes, using green hydrogen for high-heat needs, and retrofitting older plants, the industry can slash emissions without starting from scratch.

Chemical industry leaders are turning energy management into a high-yield investment, with BASF achieving approximately €1 billion in annual savings through efficiency measures. By deploying advanced AI-driven energy management systems, another manufacturer expects to save $3.2 million annually while cutting consumption by 4% per site. Furthermore, Dow’s adoption of Microsoft AI for operational automation has resulted in 15%–20% lower costs, while ammonia recovery technologies are slashing steam consumption by up to 40%.

Key discussion points during panel discussion are: Process Electrification & High-Temperature Challenges; Green Hydrogen as Feedstock and Fuel; Intermittency & Energy Storage Solutions; Energy Efficiency & Waste Heat Recovery; Circular Economy & Waste Reduction; Policy Support & Financing Mechanism; and Digitalization & AI-Powered Management.

The conference is supported by Principal Partner - Zodiac Tank Container Terminals (A Samsara Group Company); Platinum Partners - Alleima, Jindal Stainless, and Prozeal Green Energy; Gold Partners - BEIL, Contibelt, DCM Shriram Chemicals, Dynamic India, GEM Machinery, Graphite India, Jaaji Technologies, Degree LAUDA Precision, MAAG Group, Pragna Consultants, ResistoTech, SNF Flopam India, TKIL Industries, Tubacex Group, UPL University of Sustainable Technology; Associate Partners - Diyani Automation, E3 Tech Systems and Services, Changzhou Fanqun Drying Equipment, and Woodfield; Enterprise AI Partner - dDriven; and Industry Association Partners - Alkali Manufacturers Association of India (AMAI), Dahej Industries Association (DIA), Gujarat Chemical Association (GCA); and Jhagadia Industries Association (JIA).
