Rubbermaid is expanding its popular Rubbermaid Brilliance food storage portfolio with select containers made using Tritan Renew from Eastman, a copolyester containing certified recycled content produced through Eastman’s advanced recycling technology.

 

The move builds on the Rubbermaid Brilliance line, which debuted in 2016 with legacy Tritan copolyester and has become known for its clarity, durability and premium food-storage performance. The latest products bring recycled content into select food storage and pantry containers while giving consumers greater visibility into the material used.

The expanded offering includes Rubbermaid Brilliance containers in rectangular and round formats, along with pantry containers designed to keep dry goods fresh and organized.

 

Despite the material change, the products retain the performance consumers expect from Rubbermaid Brilliance, including resistance to stains, odors and shattering. They also feature the brand’s patented leakproof, microwave-safe lids.

 

Rubbermaid selected Tritan Renew as it explores advanced materials that can deliver reliable, food-contact-safe performance while incorporating recycled content. Eastman provided technical expertise and support to help integrate the material into existing product designs without compromising the performance standards of the Rubbermaid Brilliance portfolio.

 

The result is a new generation of food storage designed for modern kitchens—combining the functionality and durability of Rubbermaid Brilliance with a material innovation aimed at giving consumers more recycled-content options.
