Deepankar Aron, Joint Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC) will inaugurate AMAI's 11th Annual Alkali Industry Conference on 11-13th February, 2026 at Andaz by Hyatt, New Delhi.
Alkali manufacturers Association of India (AMAI), the apex body representing the Indian Alkali industry, supported by the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India, is organising the “11th AMAI Alkali Industry Conference – Shaping the Future: Markets, Technology, and Sustainability” today in New Delhi.
Sebastian Eckardt, Regional Practice Director for Prosperity in the South Asia Region, World Bank and Dr. Richard Charlesworth, Executive Director and Global Head of Industry Processes & Cost Analytics, S&P Global Energy will deliver keynote address at the conference.

The challenges before us are unprecedented, but so are the opportunities. The two day conference will have six sessions. It has been designed to cover the entire Alkali manufacturing ecosystem. Beyond knowledge sharing, it is also a platform for collaboration, networking, and partnerships.
The conference is also designed to help stakeholders evaluate market shifts, assess new technology options, explore strategic opportunities, and build deeper industry collaborations.
On Day 1, there will be session on Alkali industry: market trends and outlook; Overview of end-use segments like soaps & detergents and alumina; and Transforming Alkali manufacturing: safety, sustainability, and decarbonisation. Day 2 will have session on Next-generation developments in chlor-alkali electrolysers; Excellence in technologies and logistics; and Smart solutions for manufacturing in Alkali industry.
