Andhra Sugars planning caustic soda expansion

The present installed capacity of the Caustic Soda plant is 500 TPD and the company has commissioned 100 TPD expansion plants in the month of August 2019.

The Andhra Sugars Limited is planning caustic soda plant expansion and has submitted its application to the Ministry of Environment, Government of India for 400 TPD.

 

The present installed capacity of the Caustic Soda plant is 500 TPD and the company has commissioned 100 TPD expansion plants in the month of August 2019. 

 

The prices of Caustic Soda depend upon so many factors like demand, supply, market conditions etc. The present selling price of Caustic Soda is in the range of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 22,000 per MT. Based on the market conditions the present operating capacity is 430 TPD to 480 TPD.

 

The company is not operating Sugar units at Tanuku and Bhimadole for the crushing season FY2020-21 and the estimated cane crush for the current crushing season is approximately Rs. 3 lakh MT. At Present, Sugar prices were quoting little above the minimum price of Rs. 3,100 per quintal.
