Best Agrolife Ltd. has announced the grant of a patent for its advanced insecticide formulation, “Bestman.”

This product, a combination of Fipronil, Abamectin, and Tolfenpyrad in Suspension Concentrate (SC), is designed to offer effective pest management for crops such as chilli, cotton, and vegetables. Scheduled for introduction in early 2025, the product is aligned with the company’s strategy to deliver patented solutions that address specific crop challenges in both the Rabi and Kharif seasons.

This is the sixth patent Best Agrolife secured in 2024. It is an outcome of its focus on developing novel synergistic combinations and product development. The company is committed to delivering new products for the farmers through R&D as per plan. The upcoming launch of "Bestman" during the Rabi season aligns with the company’s strategic focus on crops like chilli, extensively cultivated in southern states such as Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. With its well-established distribution network in these regions, Best Agrolife aims to drive significant sales growth in Q4 of the financial year—a period traditionally considered lean for the agrochemical industry.

The product addresses key pest challenges for chilli farmers, including aphids, thrips, mites, and fruit borers. Its formulation is tailored to reduce the required applications, offering a focused pest management solution that can help improve crop quality and yields. This approach is part of the company’s broader vision to advance agriculture in the coming years through sustainability and innovation.

The pest management market for chilli, cotton, and vegetables is estimated at Rs. 3,000 crores. Best Agrolife projects an initial revenue of Rs. 70 crores in the first year of “Bestman’s” launch, with incremental growth of Rs. 250 crores anticipated in subsequent years.

By leveraging its established distribution network and presence in major cotton-producing states, the company is well-positioned to maximize Bestman's potential.
