Clariant IGL Specialty Chemicals (CISC) made a strong statement at the recently concluded ChemExpo in Mumbai, spotlighting a wide portfolio of sustainable and high-performance chemical solutions aimed at fast-growing South Asian markets.
 
Setting the tone, Nitin Sharma, CEO & GM of Clariant IGL Specialty Chemicals, underscored the company’s positioning and ambition.
 
“We are a leading supplier of specialty chemicals, including green ethylene oxide derivatives, driven by a clear focus on renewable solutions that meet the rapidly growing demand across South Asia. Under the theme “Creating a Sustainable Future with Innovative Solutions,” CISC rolled out a series of targeted innovations spanning seven critical industry segments. 
 
In coatings and construction, the company showcased high-performance reactive emulsifiers—Emulsogen CPA 100XS and Emulsogen CPN 100XS—designed for polymeric binders. 
 
In agriculture, its Synergen Soil and Synergen Soil RO5 solutions highlighted patented adjuvant technology aimed at improving soil health.
 
The home care segment reflected shifting consumer priorities, with TexCare Gemini Terra positioned as a response to rising eco-awareness in the global laundry detergent market. 
 
For industrial lubricants, CISC presented its Polyglykol D21 series—engineered synthetic oils built for high load performance and thermal stability.
 
In personal care, the spotlight fell on Plantasens Emulsifier HP 49, part of a natural emulsifiers portfolio delivering enhanced sensory effects. 
 
The textile segment featured a sustainable, high-performance CBR package for cotton, certified under GOTS and ZDHC standards. The company also promoted its base chemical “power brands,” including Castrox, Alphox, Acrodet, Cetodet, Polymeg, Igsurf and Sorbox.
 
Backing these innovations is a strong local footprint. 
 
CISC emphasized its “local for local” strategy, supported by R&D and technical application facilities in Kashipur and Navi Mumbai, alongside its manufacturing base in Kashipur, Uttarakhand—positioning the company to respond quickly to evolving customer needs while leveraging global expertise.
