Cosmo Films, a leading global manufacturer of specialty films for packaging, lamination and labelling applications, has expanded its Cosmo Synthetic Paper portfolio.

This, with the launch of CSP DigiLux-MW, a premium-grade synthetic paper designed for high-end digital printing applications.

The launch comes at a time when demand for durable, high-quality and visually appealing print solutions is rising across industries, driven by growth in packaging, e-commerce and commercial printing.

Positioned as a premium offering, CSP DigiLux-MW features enhanced whiteness to deliver superior print aesthetics and a luxurious finish, making it suitable for applications where visual impact and print quality are critical.

The product is compatible with powder toner-based printing technologies from major manufacturers, including Xerox, Konica Minolta, Kodak and Canon.

It also supports a wide range of printing processes such as conventional and offset printing, water- and UV-based flexo, screen printing, thermal transfer printing using wax, wax-resin and resin ribbons, letterpress, UV inkjet and HP Latex technologies.

Kulbhushan Malik, Global Business Head, Cosmo Films, said, “At Cosmo Films, we are unflinchingly committed to designing and offering sustainable solutions that are not only durable but also adhere to the highest standard of quality.

"The launch of CSP DigiLux-MW under our Cosmo Synthetic Paper vertical is testament to our endeavour to seamlessly cater to the diverse needs of synthetic paper in the evolving commercial printing industry. Through innovation, we hope to continue set industry benchmarks by consistently adding premium products to our bouquet of offerings.”

The launch aligns with the growing momentum in India's synthetic paper market.

According to industry estimates, the market was valued at $53.42 million in 2023 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.74% through 2029. Increasing demand from e-commerce, FMCG and consumer goods sectors is accelerating the need for durable, weather-resistant packaging and labelling solutions.

At the same time, rising requirements from chemical, industrial and printing industries are creating new opportunities for synthetic papers used in labels, tags and print applications that must withstand moisture, chemicals and rough handling.

Cosmo Synthetic Paper is a co-extruded, white opaque polypropylene-based film that closely resembles conventional paper while offering significantly greater durability and longevity.

The product portfolio complies with key global standards, including EU 10/2011, USFDA, REACH and RoHS regulations, ensuring adherence to stringent quality and safety requirements.
