Additionally, the first of two lines at the new calcium chloride plant is now operational with a capacity of 133 TPD
DCM Shriram has successfully commissioned two new manufacturing plants adjacent to its existing caustic soda facilities in Jhagadia. The newly launched aluminium chloride plant has a capacity of 100 TPD and is currently scaling up production in line with market demand, bringing the company's total aluminium chloride capacity to 250 TPD.
Additionally, the first of two lines at the new calcium chloride plant is now operational with a capacity of 133 TPD, delivering a product quality that has already achieved strong market acceptance.
The commissioning boosts India’s specialty chemical manufacturing capacity, driving both import substitution and export growth. By supplying high-purity anhydrous aluminium chloride, DCM Shriram strengthens its position as a vital partner for domestic pharmaceutical and agrochemical formulators, while its calcium chloride production targets key industrial applications.
Aluminium chloride uses chlorine directly as a raw material, while calcium chloride uses hydrochloric acid, which is itself produced from chlorine. Together, these plants represent strategic downstream integration of chlorine, enhancing the flexibility and resilience of the overall chemical business.
