GHCL Q3 FY 21 EBITDA up 15%

Inorganics Chemicals division’s revenue is Rs. 528 crore in Q3 FY21.

GHCL, India's leading chemical & textile company, Q3 FY 21 EBIDTA was Rs. 204 crore as against Rs. 177 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, showing a growth of 15%.

 

Net revenue for Q3 FY21 is at Rs. 809 crore as compared to Rs. 834 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Net Profit (PAT) is at Rs. 111 crore as against Rs. 101 crore in the third quarter last fiscal, despite a major tax reversal in Q3 FY 20.

 

Inorganics Chemicals division’s revenue is Rs. 528 crore in Q3 FY21 as compared to Rs. 549 crore in the corresponding quarter in FY20.

 

Home Textiles business revenue is at Rs. 280 crore in Q3 FY 21 as compared to Rs. 285 crore in the corresponding quarter in FY20.

 

Commenting on the financial performance, R. S. Jalan, Managing Director, GHCL said, “We have demonstrated encouraging performance during the quarter under review with 26% profitability (PBT) growth Y-o-Y basis and 41% profitability (PBT) growth Q-o-Q basis. Strong performance is a result of concerted efforts undertaken by the company and a healthy demand scenario for our products in both the business segments. We are focused, agile and committed towards ensuring sustainable and inclusive growth of all our stakeholders.”

 

GHCL Limited has established itself as a well-diversified group with an ascertained footprint in chemicals, textiles and consumer products segment. In chemicals, the company mainly manufactures Soda Ash (Anhydrous Sodium Carbonate) that is a major raw material for detergents & glass industries and Sodium Bicarbonate (baking soda). Its textiles operation is an integrated set up, which commences right from spinning of fiber (yarn), weaving, dyeing, printing of the finished products, like sheets & duvets, primarily exported worldwide.
