Himadri Speciality reports dip in quarterly as well as annual revenues

Sales declined 25.45% to Rs 1805.80 crore versus Rs. 2422.39 crore in FY19.

Himadri Specialty Chemicals Ltd reported a sharp decline in proifts as well as revenues in FY20. The company's Q4 FY20 net profit declined by 5.25% to Rs 70.81 crore versus Rs 74.73 crore in the corresponding period last year. The sales also declined 37.68% to Rs 364.41 crore as against as against Rs 584.73 crore previous year.
 
For the full year, the company's net profit declined by 36.64% and stood at Rs 205.47 crore in FY20 as against as against Rs 324.30 crore in FY19. Sales declined 25.45% to Rs 1805.80 crore versus Rs. 2422.39 crore in FY19.
 
The company has recommended a dividend of Rs. 0.15 per share (@15%) per equity share having face value of Re 1/- each for the financial year 2019-20.
 
The company is based out of Kolkata and engaged in the manufacture of coal tar by-products and derivatives like coal tar pitch (CTP), creosote oils, naphthalene, carbon black, advanced carbon materials & SNF (sodium naphthalene formaldehyde). The company also produces value added products like Carbon Black (from creosote oil), SNF (from Naphthalene) and Advanced Carbon Materials (from CTP).
