Kiri Industries Ltd, an integrated manufacturer of reactive dyes and intermediates, has acquired Taiwan-based SMS Chemical Co Ltd for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition is part of Kiri’s global expansion strategy.
The company, along with Lonsen, earlier acquired Germany-based DyStar and most of its global subsidiaries after it emerged from bankruptcy. This enabled the company access to DyStar'''s 16 manufacturing plants with a combined production capacity of 176,000 TPA.
Thereafter, Kiri also bought the US subsidiary of DyStar subsidiary. The entire acquisition was carried out through Kiri Dye'''s wholly-owned subsidiary Kiri Holding Singapore.
It supplies reactive, acid, and direct dyes as well as dye-intermediates in various forms like standardized spray dried/tray dried-powder/granular, crude and reverse osmosis.
