LANXESS increases prices for 1,6-hexanediol

As per the company, reason for the adjustment is the significant rise in raw material costs over the past months

Specialty chemicals company LANXESS is raising its prices for 1,6-hexanediol (HDO) globally by EUR 350 per metric ton with immediate effect.

The reason for the adjustment is the significant rise in raw material costs over the past months.

HDO is an important precursor for high performance coatings, fibers, adhesives, polyurethanes, polycarbonate diols and as reactive diluent for epoxy resins.

LANXESS is a leading specialty chemicals company with sales of EUR 6.8 billion in 2019. The company currently has about 14,400 employees in 33 countries. The core business of LANXESS is the development, manufacturing and marketing of chemical intermediates, additives, specialty chemicals and plastics.
