Mangalore Chemicals Q2 net profit surges amid lower sales

The company's revenues dropped by 5.51% YoY and reached Rs.696.68 crores in the second quarter

Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd has registered a healthy profit despite falling sales in second quarter of the current fiscal.

The company's revenues dropped by 5.51% YoY and reached Rs.696.68 crores in the second quarter as compared to Rs.737.33 crores in the same period last year.

However the company managed to post a strong jump of 79% YoY and made a net profit of Rs.40.56 crores in the second quarter versus Rs.22.62 crores last year.

Expenses remained lower at Rs. 633.81 crore as against Rs 700.38 crore in the same period a year ago.

Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited, is the largest manufacturer of chemical fertilizers in the state of Karnataka, India. The factory is located at Panambur, north of Mangalore City, along the National Highway 66, opposite to the New Mangalore Port Trust.
