Meghmani gets clearance for expansion of Ankleshwar unit

The total estimated cost of the proposed expansion is Rs. 7.5 crores.

The Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change have recommended for grant of environmental clearance for the proposed expansion in production capacity of existing products as well as addition of new agrochemicals and intermediates products capacity from 259.4 MT/month to 1495 MT/month within the existing premises by Meghmani Organics Limited (MOL) at GIDC Estate, Ankleshwar in Gujarat. The expansion would be completed in approximately 18-24 months from the date of start of construction.

 

The company intends for expansion by addition of new products to fulfill the present market demands of the additional products.

 

The proposed expansion activity will be carried out within the existing premises. The total estimated cost of the proposed expansion is Rs. 7.5 crores. “Total capital cost earmarked towards environmental pollution control measures is Rs. 56 Lakhs and the Recurring cost (operation and maintenance) will be about Rs. 23.25 Lakhs per annum. Total Employment will be 869 persons as direct as well as other indirect employees for expansion. Industry proposes to allocate Rs 34 Lakh which is 4 % of the project cost towards Corporate Environmental Responsibility (CER),” the Minutes of the Ministry read. The expected turnover from the expansion is estimated at Rs 45 crore in the next 5 years.

 

The products from the expansion will be of international standards and compete with the industrial majors across the globe as well as will be able to service the domestic market.
