Methanex Corporation has announced that the regulatory review period under the U.S. Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Act has expired, marking the successful completion of all required regulatory approvals for its planned acquisition of OCI Global’s international methanol business.

The transaction, initially announced earlier this year, is now expected to close on June 27, 2025, pending the fulfillment of customary closing conditions.

“We are pleased to have received regulatory clearance and look forward to closing the transaction and welcoming new team members to Methanex,” said Rich Sumner, President andCEO of Methanex. “With extensive integration planning already in place, we are well-positioned to move swiftly post-closing and unlock the strategic value of this acquisition.”
