Mitsu Chem Plast adds 600 MT capacity taking FY27 expansion to 6,700 MT

The company has now announced cumulative capacity additions of 6,700 MT/year in FY27

Mitsu Chem Plast is stepping up its manufacturing expansion, adding another 600 MT/year of capacity at its existing facility as the polymer products maker positions itself for rising demand across key industrial and healthcare segments.
 
The latest addition takes the company’s existing manufacturing capacity beyond 36,000 MT/year. Mitsu Chem Plast had a capacity utilisation rate of 64% for the year ended March 31, 2026.
 
The company has now announced cumulative capacity additions of 6,700 MT/year in FY27. This includes 2,550 MT/year added in June 2026, followed by 3,550 MT/year and the latest 600 MT/year additions in August.
 
The expansion is aimed at strengthening Mitsu Chem Plast’s ability to serve customers across industrial packaging, healthcare, infrastructure and emergency handling, while supporting growing demand from OEM customers in the chemical, pharmaceutical, agrochemical and allied industries.
 
With capacity utilisation at 64%, the company said the latest expansion reflects its confidence in sustained demand and its ability to scale operations efficiently. The additional capacity is also expected to support product diversification and allow the company to respond more effectively to evolving customer requirements.
