National Fertilizers reports jump in fertilizer sales and production

Company has recorded the total fertilizer sale of 23.81 Lakh MT in April-August, 2020 showing a growth of 16% YoY.

State run PSU, National Fertilizers Ltd (NFL) has recorded the total fertilizer sale of 23.81 Lakh MT in April-August, 2020 showing a growth of 16% compared to previous best of 20.57 Lakh MT recorded during the same period in 2019-20.
 
On the production front too, the company has surpassed the production target by producing 16.11 Lakh MT Urea in the first five months of 2020-21, higher by 13% as compared to 14.26 Lakh MT produced during the same period in 2019-20.
 
NFL has five gas based Ammonia-Urea plants viz. Nangal and Bathinda plants in Punjab, Panipat plant in Haryana and two plants at Vijaipur in Madhya Pradesh. The company currently has a total annual installed capacity of 35.68 Lakh MT (Re-assessed capacity of 32.31 Lakh MT) and is the 2nd largest producer of urea in the country with a share of about 16% of total urea production in the country.
 
The company has a bio-fertilizers Plant at Vijaipur with a capacity of 600 tonnes of solid and liquid bio-fertilizers to produce four strains of bio-fertilizers viz. PSB, ZSB, Rhizobium and Azotobacter.
