NFL Q1 fertilizer sale up by 21.5%

First quarter fertilizer sale was up by 21.5% to reach 12.85 Lakh MT in comparison to 10.75 Lakh MT in Q1 FY2018-19.

National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) first quarter fertilizer sale was up by 21.5% to reach 12.85 Lakh MT in comparison to 10.75 Lakh MT in  Q1 FY2018-19.  
 
Other than significant growth in Urea sales, NFL has recorded a growth of 13% in P&K fertilizers during the first quarter. In the month of June, 2020, the company sold 5.30 Lakh MT of fertilizers, up by 15.5% in comparison to 4.59 Lakh MT sold in the same month in June 2019. 
 
NFL has five gas based Ammonia-Urea plants viz. Nangal and Bathinda plants in Punjab, Panipat plant in Haryana and two plants at Vijaipur in Madhya Pradesh. The company currently has a total annual installed capacity of 35.68 Lakh MT (Re-assessed capacity of 32.31 Lakh MT) and is the 2nd largest producer of urea in the country with a share of about 16% of total urea production in the country.
 
The company has a bio-fertilizers Plant at Vijaipur with a capacity of 600 tonnes of solid and liquid bio-fertilizers to produce four strains of bio-fertilizers viz. PSB, ZSB, Rhizobium and Azotobacter.
