Partial opening of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals facilities

Company has started partial operation of Caustic Soda, Hydrochloric Acid (HCl), Phosphoric Acid, Sodium Hypo and Chlorine filling facilities at Dahej Complex and also Caustic Soda and KOH at Vadodara Complex

Considering the requirements of various municipal corporations and after obtaining necessary permission from the concerned authorities, Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited has started partial operation of Caustic Soda, Hydrochloric Acid (HCl), Phosphoric Acid, Sodium Hypo and Chlorine filling facilities at Dahej Complex and also Caustic Soda and KOH at Vadodara Complex. 
 
The Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC) and Hydrogen Peroxide plants would start after a few days. Based on the requirement, the company may start operation of other plants. 
 
The Company had earlier announced the complete safe shut-down of all its plants at Baroda and Dahej Complexes from 24th March 2020 till 14th April 2020 due to a nationwide lockdown to control the spread of COVID-19.
 
GACL also stated that in spite of challenging circumstances, the company could achieve highest ever productions of Caustic Soda Lye, PAC-30, H2O2 and SBP at Dahej Complex and of Caustic Soda Lye, Caustic Potash Lye, Chloromethanes, H2O2 and Chlorine at Vadodara Complex in FY2019-20
