The plant, designed for the production of foam control chemistry, strengthens the company’s ability to serve fast-growing regional demand with locally manufactured products aligned to global standards.
The development follows PennWhite’s acquisition in November 2022 by Manali Petrochemicals Limited (MPL)—India’s only integrated polyols manufacturer and part of Singapore-based AM International.
Building on that foundation, PennWhite established its Indian subsidiary in February 2024 to accelerate business growth across India and Asia.
Within just 18 months of signing a long-term lease in early 2025, the company has completed construction and commissioning of the Oragadam facility. The plant operates in full alignment with PennWhite’s UK manufacturing standards and has already secured ISO 9001 certification, with additional quality and food safety approvals in progress.
The inauguration was attended by senior leadership including Devaki Muthiah Chardon, Chairperson of PennWhite Limited (UK), Tobias Tasche, CEO of PennWhite Limited (UK) and Director of PennWhite India, R. Chandrasekar.
