Pidilite Industries Limited has partnered with South Korea-based Hwaseung Chemical to bring advanced footwear adhesive technologies to India, targeting the country’s rapidly expanding footwear manufacturing sector.
The strategic partnership will introduce globally benchmarked adhesive systems to Indian footwear manufacturers, combining Hwaseung Chemical’s high-performance bonding technologies with Pidilite’s local technical expertise and support.
The companies said the collaboration is aimed at helping manufacturers improve product performance, reliability, productivity and sustainability while meeting the increasingly demanding requirements of global footwear brands.

The partnership will give Indian footwear manufacturers access to adhesive systems used in global sports footwear production, including solutions nominated by leading international brands.
The high-performance formulations are designed to deliver strong bonding, durability and flexibility while supporting consistent output on high-volume manufacturing lines.

The adhesive systems being introduced under the partnership comply with global environmental and safety standards, including REACH, SVHC, Prop 65 and the U.S. Clean Air Act. They also align with ISO 14001 and RoHS requirements.
Developed as low-VOC and non-flammable formulations, the products are compatible with modern application techniques and are designed to support safer working environments while reducing environmental impact.
The partnership marks a push by both companies to combine global footwear adhesive technology with localized technical capabilities as India strengthens its position in the international footwear manufacturing supply chain.
