The company has approached the Ministry of Environment and Forest for
environmental clearance for its proposed project. It has already presented to
the ministry the terms of reference for EIA study of the plant.
R P Intermediates intends to invest Rs 51.5 lakh in the project and produce 4320
kg of L Base, 12480 kg of D Base, 7200 kg of Chloramphenicol powder and 4687 kg
of Chloramphenicol Palmitate annually.
The total plot area is 1769.71 sq m of which 223.48 sq m is for greenbelt
development.
The company said all the waste water generated in the plant will be sent to the
FE system and condensate water will be recycled appropriately. It said all
measures will be taken for restoring the greenness in the area.
The project will have adequate safety equipment for fire fighting and disaster
management plan and onsite management plan will be prepared.
The company said it will undertake all necessary health and safety measures.
There are no ecologically sensitive areas such as national parks or sanctuaries
in this region.
