Shivtek Spechemi Industries, the flagship company of the Shiva Group, is expanding the production capacity at its Kurnool facility in Andhra Pradesh. The specialty chemicals manufacturer is investing approximately Rs. 15 crore to add 14,000 metric tonnes (MT) of capacity. This strategic expansion directly targets the growth of its core Chlorinated Paraffins (CP) product line.

Commercial production from the expanded line is scheduled to commence by July 2028.

Shivtek is expanding because its Kurnool plant is running at 100% capacity and facing ongoing supply constraints. This scaling up is driven by strong market demand in key industrial sectors, including PVC compounds, industrial coatings, flame retardants, and high-performance lubricants.

Speaking on the strategic expansion plans, Amitt Nenwani, Managing Director, Shivtek Spechemi Industries Ltd said, “Demand for specialized performance additives across India and global export markets is outpacing current supply allocations. Operating at peak utilization has given us a clear directive - our customers need scale, fast execution, and strict compliance. This Rs. 15 crore investment at Kurnool directly addresses our existing and potential order pipeline. Crucially, as we expand capacity, we are integrating zero-emission process technologies and energy-efficient manufacturing into the plant, ensuring that even our legacy product lines adhere to modern, sustainable operational standards.”

The new facility is projected to deliver an annual top-line revenue contribution of Rs. 100 crore at full scale, generating high return on capital employed (ROCE) and driving margin efficiency.

This expansion is a key milestone in Shivtek’s growth strategy, driving India’s evolution into a global hub for specialty chemicals. By boosting the domestic supply of high-grade Chlorinated Paraffins, Shivtek strengthens supply chain resilience and advances national import-substitution goals.
