Tuticorin Alkali reports reports net loss of Rs 8.96 crore in the March 2020 quarter

Sales decline 17.22% to Rs 33.40 crore.

Tuticorin Alkali Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd has reported net loss of Rs 8.96 crore in the quarter ended March 2020 as against net loss of Rs 7.99 crore in March 2019 quarter. The sales declined 17.22% to Rs 33.40 crore in the quarter ended March 2020 as against Rs 40.35 crore in March 2019.
 
For the full year, net loss reported to Rs 23.63 crore in the year ended March 2020 as against net loss of Rs 37.91 crore in March 2019. The company's sales also declined by 10.39% to Rs 156.64 crore in the year ended March 2020 as against Rs 174.80 crore in March 2019.
 
The board has recommended the re-appointment of Rita Chandrasekar as an independent director to the shareholders for a further term of 5 years commencing from 31st July, 2020. 
 
The board also announced the appointment of S.Venkataraman, COO of the company as whole time director who will continue to be designated as COO of the Company and K.R.Anandan as additional director of the company.
