UPM Adhesive Materials, a global leader in self-adhesive label materials, is set to expand its presence in India with a new slitting and distribution terminal near New Delhi. The move strengthens the company’s service capabilities in Northern and Eastern India and underscores its commitment to the fast-growing Indian market.
India’s booming economy, fueled by urbanization, digitalization, and infrastructure growth, is driving demand for reliable label material supply and faster delivery times. UPM’s new terminal, equipped with state-of-the-art slitting technology and a tailored regional inventory, is designed to meet these needs.
The facility complements UPM’s Mumbai terminal, which opened in February 2024, extending nationwide service coverage.
“We are excited to strengthen our presence in India with a new terminal near New Delhi. This investment supports the growth ambitions of our customers in the Northern and Eastern regions and deepens our engagement with the dynamic Indian market,” said Harri Janhunen, Vice President, Strategy, India & Middle East, UPM Adhesive Materials.
Operations at the New Delhi terminal are expected to commence in Q3 2026.
