Vishnu Chemicals forges 50:50 JV with France's DCX Chrome to build 6,000 TPA Vizag chromium metal plant

India’s premier specialty chemical manufacturer Vishnu Chemicals Ltd. (VCL)has partnered with France-based DCX Chrome SAS in a 50:50 joint venture to establish a greenfield high-purity chromium metal manufacturing plant in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The facility will have a planned capacity of 6,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) and represents a key value-chain migration into complex chemistries for aerospace and nuclear markets.

The joint venture secures access to DCX's proprietary process technology, enabling domestic manufacturing to meet stringent global aerospace standards. VCL will provide uninterrupted, reliable supply chrome oxide green to the proposed joint venture company.
