Yogendra Tripathi presently Secretary, Ministry of Tourism has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers in place of Rajesh Kr. Chaturvedi. Tripathy is a 1985 batch IAS officer of Karnataka cadre.  

In another development, Rajesh Kr. Chaturvedi presently Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.
