Zuari Agro shuts down NPK fertilizer plant in Goa

Lack of manpower led to shutting down of the operations.

Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd has announced that its NPK - A plant is shut down due to non-availability of workers owing to COVID-19. The plant will resume operations once the labour issue is settled, said the company. 
 
The company was forced to shut its operations during the month of May as well due to the same reason.
 
Zuari fertilizer plant has an annual installed capacity of 9,46,000 metric tonnes of fertilizer. The entire manufacturing facility located in Goa comprises of four separate plants, namely Ammonia, Urea, NPK A and NPK B. The plants employ the latest in pipe-reactor technology and are based on the slurry granulation process.
