Zuari Agro shuts down urea plant for repair work

Company had shut down the urea plant for repairs work on 15th October, 2020.

Zuari Agro Chemicals Limited has announced that the urea plant has been shut down for repairs work on 15th October, 2020.
 
Earlier in July this year, the company's had to shut operationss at its NPK - A plant due to Covid-19 pandemic in the industrial belt around the plant. Non-availability of manpower had adversely affected the operations due to which the plant had to be shut down for more than a month. The operations were later resumed in mid August based on the improved covid situation in the region. 
 
Zuari's fertilizer plant has an annual installed capacity of 9,46,000 metric tonnes of fertilizer. The entire manufacturing facility located in Goa comprises of four separate plants, namely Ammonia, Urea, NPK A and NPK B. The plants employ the latest in pipe-reactor technology and are based on the slurry granulation process.
