AVEVA unveils AI-powered industrial intelligence breakthrough

AVEVA announced the signing of MoUs with Deccan Fine Chemicals (I) and Reliance Power Limited during the India CONNECT launch event in Mumbai

  • By ICN Bureau | June 06, 2026
Industrial software major AVEVA has announced a major expansion of its industrial intelligence platform, CONNECT, unveiling a suite of new AI-driven capabilities designed to tackle one of industry’s biggest challenges: fragmented and underutilized data.

At the center of the announcement is a next-generation industrial knowledge graph and an AI-powered twin builder, both scheduled for release in Q1 2027.

The innovations are aimed at helping industrial organizations unlock value from vast amounts of operational data by creating a unified semantic framework that provides AI systems with the context needed to generate accurate, trusted, and actionable insights.

The move comes as industries worldwide face mounting pressure to adopt AI while grappling with regulatory complexity, sustainability demands, aging infrastructure, and disconnected data systems.

According to AVEVA, as much as 73% of enterprise data remains unused, while 76% of business leaders struggle to make sense of the information they collect.

By mapping relationships between physical assets and operational systems, the new industrial knowledge graph will allow organizations to transform scattered data into contextualized intelligence, enabling faster troubleshooting, better compliance, and more confident decision-making.

"For industrial enterprises globally, the challenge is not ambition but infrastructure," shared Zubin Davar, VP – CONNECT Platform GTM.

"The promise of AI remains largely unrealised for most industrial teams because operations data, engineering data, asset context, workflows, and compliance frameworks all need to be managed in one place without losing fidelity, lineage, or meaning.

"CONNECT is designed to close this gap across every layer of deeply heterogeneous industrial technology stacks. By lowering the cost and complexity of unifying industrial data, we help customers turn fragmented data into trusted intelligence, accelerating their AI-driven transformation."

Underscoring the strategic importance of the Indian market, AVEVA announced the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Deccan Fine Chemicals (I) and Reliance Power Limited during the India CONNECT launch event in Mumbai.

The agreements are aimed at accelerating cloud-enabled digital transformation across industrial value chains by creating secure, collaborative, and data-driven ecosystems.

AVEVA also signed an MoU with VJTI's Technology Business Incubator (TBI), strengthening its commitment to industry-academia collaboration, skill development, and innovation to support the next generation of industrial talent.

"The announcements at AVEVA World, coupled with these MoUs signed at the India CONNECT launch, reflect our commitment to matching the depth and pace of progress Indian enterprises are making," said Tarun Singh, Country Head, AVEVA India.

"India's industrial sector is scaling rapidly, and by embedding AI and intelligence deeply into industrial workflows through CONNECT, we are helping local organizations move faster, manage complexity, and operate with confidence."

As part of its broader platform expansion, AVEVA is deepening integrations with leading enterprise technology providers to strengthen industrial data accessibility and AI readiness.

A key development is a new strategic partnership with Snowflake, enabling industrial enterprises to directly query high-fidelity operational technology (OT) data through a zero-copy architecture. The approach eliminates the need to duplicate or move data, reducing latency and integration costs while maintaining a single source of truth.

The company is also launching CONNECT Flows—formerly Crosser—bringing new stream analytics and integration capabilities that simplify the creation and deployment of real-time edge-to-cloud data pipelines for cleansing, filtering, and transformation.

Further expanding its cloud and AI ecosystem, AVEVA announced a multicloud version of CONNECT in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), offering customers greater deployment flexibility.

The company is also establishing a strategic technology partnership with IFS and introducing Digital Twins for AI Factories in collaboration with NVIDIA and Schneider Electric.

Looking ahead, AVEVA's planned Q1 2027 CONNECT release will introduce an industrial knowledge graph designed to accelerate the creation and operationalization of digital twins.

Through an upcoming Early Access Program, the platform's AI-powered twin builder will use agentic AI to intelligently map and align fragmented enterprise data sources to standardized models. The capability is expected to dramatically reduce deployment times while preserving data lineage and maintaining rigorous governance standards.

With these new capabilities, AVEVA is positioning CONNECT as a foundational platform for industrial organizations seeking to safely scale AI adoption and digital transformation initiatives.

As India's industrial sector continues to expand, the company believes a unified and intelligent data infrastructure will be critical for turning operational complexity into competitive advantage.
