EIL and NPCIL inked MoU for development of Bharat Small Modular Reactor

This partnership supports GoI’s vision to accelerate nuclear power

Engineers India Limited (EIL) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) to provide “Engineering services towards development of conceptual design and engineering of structures, systems and components of Bharat Small Modular Reactor (BSMR)”.

This MoU is executed by Director Commercial - EIL and Director Technical - NPCIL in the presence of CMD EIL, Vartika Shukla and CMD NPCIL, B.C. Pathak and other senior Management officers from both organizations at the NPCIL Mumbai office on 12th August 2025.

This partnership supports GoI’s vision to accelerate nuclear power, enabling clean, green, and reliable energy to strengthen India’s energy security and is a step towards Nuclear Energy Mission for Viksit Bharat, targeting a nuclear power capacity of 100 GW by 2047.
