BPCL will supply 42 mmscm of RLNG to OPaL’s Dahej unit
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has executed a term agreement for Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) supply with ONGC Petro additions Limited (OPaL), further strengthening India's clean energy collaborations.
The agreement was signed by Rakesh Kumar Sinha, Chief General Manager (Sourcing, Logistics & Marketing – Gas HQ) and Vijay Iyah, Head – Material Management (OPaL), in the presence of Rahul Tandon, Business Head (Gas) and Gurinder Singh, Managing Director (OPaL), along with senior leadership from BPCL Gas HQ and OPaL.
Under this one-year agreement, BPCL will supply 42 mmscm of RLNG to OPaL’s Dahej unit, enabling stable gas sourcing for petrochemical operations while strengthening long-term alignment across supply planning and execution.
This also opened conversations on the evolving gas landscape in India, with discussions centred on future-ready sourcing strategies and the potential to deepen collaboration through long-term RLNG arrangements between BPCL and OPaL.
This RLNG supply deal with OPAL underscores BPCL's commitment to expanding India's sustainable energy framework.
