Dwarikesh Sugar commissions new carbon capture plant in Uttar Pradesh

The new Co2 plant has been commissioned with a 40 MT per day capacity.

Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd has on 17th October, 2020 commissioned a 40 MT per day capacity Co2 plant within the precincts of its distillery at Dwarikesh Nagar unit in Uttar Pradesh, India.
 
The plant envisages capturing of Co2 emission from distillery operations and selling the same on commercial basis which would commence from the 19th October, 2020. 
 
Though a small, yet a very significant step, as it reinforces the company's commitment to provide clean & healthy environment to the society. 
 
The company is engaged in the production of sugar and other sugar related activities. The product range of the company includes sugar, white crystal sugar, ethanol, captive power, molasses and valuable residue Bagasse, the residue obtained from crushing cane in the mills, is used by the paper industry. The company also engagged in the business of sugar, Co.Gen and distillery.
