Indian Oil Corporation Limited has granted formal investment approval for the laying, building, and operating of the Kochi-Kanyakumari-Thoothukudi Natural Gas Pipeline project.
The strategic energy infrastructure project carries an estimated total cost of Rs. 2,448.70 crore. Spanning a total length of 424.65 kilometers, the pipeline route will connect Kochi in Kerala to Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu via Kanyakumari.
The natural gas pipeline system is designed with an overall transmission capacity of 6.84 million metric standard cubic meters per day (MMSCMD), which includes a designated common carrier capacity of at least 1.71 MMSCMD to allow third-party access.
