TÜV SÜD has summarized its comprehensive services for a safe and sustainable hydrogen industry under the banner of “Hydrogen: fuelling a green future.” Hydrogen is an energy source that offers extensive potential for a “green future.”

“As an energy carrier, hydrogen will play a central role in realizing the energy transformation and reaching climate goals“, says Reiner Block, CEO of the Industry Service Division at TÜV SÜD.

As a storage medium, it can be used to balance fluctuations in electricity production from renewable sources of energy. Hydrogen further establishes a link between electricity, heat and gas networks, the transport sector and industry.

TÜV SÜD has amassed wide-ranging expertise and experience in the field of hydrogen technologies. “By providing our activities, we support the entire value chain from production, storage and distribution up to application in various areas, such as industrial production and transport”, explains Block. The English-language landing page at www.tuvsud.com/hydrogen offers a comprehensive overview of the individual services. The page is subdivided into the sections: “Production of hydrogen”, “Transmission, distribution and storage of hydrogen” and “Consumption or usage of hydrogen”.

With its broad skills base, TÜV SÜD’s multi-disciplinary team of experts not only enable an integrated approach to be adopted for complex hydrogen projects but also devise individual solutions for a host of different terms of reference. They make a significant contribution to developing the future opportunities of hydrogen, advancing the expansion of energy from renewable sources and promoting decarbonization.
