Wood secures $200 million ExxonMobil PNG contract to support major LNG infrastructure
The work will focus on large-scale brownfield project delivery across the Hides Gas Conditioning Plant, the LNG plant at Caution Bay

Wood has secured a new $200 million, five-year contract with ExxonMobil PNG (EMPNG) to deliver critical construction services for the ExxonMobil-operated PNG LNG Project in Papua New Guinea.
The major contract will strengthen Wood’s long-term role in supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of one of Papua New Guinea’s most important energy assets. The work will focus on large-scale brownfield project delivery across the Hides Gas Conditioning Plant, the LNG plant at Caution Bay, around 700 kilometres of pipeline network, associated well pads and flowlines.
The programme will support the continued integrity and performance of infrastructure responsible for supplying LNG to customers across Asia, helping ensure the PNG LNG Project remains safe, reliable and operationally resilient.
More than 200 Wood personnel in Papua New Guinea will be mobilised to deliver the programme, bringing together expertise across project management, civil and structural construction, piping and mechanical works, electrical and instrumentation services. The contract will also draw on a broad range of specialist support capabilities, including scaffolding, lifting and rigging.
