It's a development that positions Avient at the forefront of sustainable materials innovation.

Yes, Avient Corporation, a leading innovator in materials solutions, has unveiled an expansion of its Nymax REC Recycled Nylon Formulations with the launch of the Nymax REC 6000 High Impact Series. This new impact-modified, recycled nylon line is designed for manufacturers seeking sustainable, high-performance materials.

The series features 22 grades—including eight unfilled and 14 glass-fiber-reinforced formulations with up to 30% glass fiber—offering tailored impact performance across a broad range of temperatures and applications. With post-industrial recycled content ranging from 42% to 93%, Nymax REC 6000 helps manufacturers meet sustainability goals without sacrificing durability, impact resistance, or dimensional stability.

Supported by Avient’s TÜV-certified Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) Calculator, aligned with ISO 14067, the series can deliver up to an 83% reduction in carbon footprint compared with prime nylon grades. Target applications span automotive, building and construction, and consumer goods.

“Avient is proud to deliver solutions that align with our customers’ sustainability objectives while maintaining the high performance they expect,” said Hermann Fuechter, Senior Marketing & Product Manager, Specialty Engineered Materials EMEA at Avient.

“The Nymax REC High Impact portfolio demonstrates our commitment to innovating and advancing sustainable material options that meet market demands.”
