Best Agrolife has been awarded the "Outstanding Innovation and Chemical Synthesis Award" at the recently concluded Pesticides Manufacturers and Formulators Association of India (PMFAI) Awards in Dubai. This recognition highlights the company's efforts in chemical synthesis and innovation in the agrochemical industry.

Best Agrolife has led the development of new synthesis technologies for agrochemicals, focusing on products suited for both Indian and global markets. The company's R&D team is working to replace conventional methods with safer chemical reactions that offer higher yields. This approach has led to multiple patents and the development of products with lower toxicity.

One significant achievement is the backward development of Diafenthiuron, a widely used insecticide in India. Originally invented by Ciba Geigy, Diafenthiuron is a broad-spectrum systemic and contact pesticide known for its ecological friendliness as it breaks down into non-toxic metabolites.

The company developed a novel process to synthesize Diafenthiuron without relying on imported intermediates. Best Agrolife synthesizes all precursors using an integrated, efficient, and environmentally friendly process. Over 400 tons of Diafenthiuron have been successfully produced using this novel process, which is now recognized as one of the most cost-effective and environmentally sustainable in the world.

Best Agrolife’s product Ronfen, based on Diafenthiuron, has seen strong market success and earned the trust of farmers. In addition to Diafenthiuron, the company’s R&D teams are working on developing common intermediates and scaling lab-based technologies for mass production. The focus remains on reducing effluent generation, improving atom economy, and maintaining sustainable practices in agrochemical manufacturing.
