Birla Carbon will take center stage at NanoTech 2026 from January 28–30 in Tokyo, Japan, showcasing cutting-edge multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) technologies designed to push the boundaries of material performance.

The compay will present its high-performance Nanocyl portfolio and advanced engineered formulations aimed at boosting material efficiency, reducing costs, and enabling energy savings across sectors including energy storage, automotive, electronics, and transportation.

Commenting on the company’s participation, Laurent Kosbach, CEO, Nanocyl, said, “Nanotechnology is a powerful enabler of material innovation. Through the Nanocyl range of carbon nanotubes, we are advancing material properties such as electrostatic discharge (ESD), electrical conductivity, mechanical reinforcement, and thermal dissipation across a wide range of materials.

"Nanotech 2026 provides an important platform to engage with global partners and demonstrate how our engineered formulations are already delivering value across demanding industries.”

At the exhibition, Birla Carbon will spotlight Nanocyl, a leading global producer of high-performance MWCNTs and engineered formulations known for enabling next-generation performance in plastics, elastomers, coatings, and energy applications.

A key highlight will be NC7000, Nanocyl’s flagship MWCNT, which delivers high electrical conductivity, excellent processability, and strong mechanical property retention. The material also offers UV resistance and exceptional cleanliness, making it well-suited for demanding industrial and advanced applications.

Birla Carbon will also present Nanocyl’s broad portfolio of engineered solutions tailored to diverse application needs, including Plasticyl thermoplastic concentrates for conductive polymer systems, Elastocyl elastomer masterbatches for ESD and conductive performance with enhanced durability, Epocyl epoxy-based NC7000 masterbatches for flexible and efficient processing, Aquacyl aqueous dispersions supporting eco-friendly waterborne conductive solutions, and Orgacyl solvent dispersions engineered to meet the conductivity demands of energy storage applications.
