Borosil Limited has informed that the company has commissioned a borosilicate glass furnace on January 31, 2024. The company shall begin trial production shortly and expects commercial production to be achieved by the end of February, 2024. The company is planning to achieve 25 tonnes per day production capacity for borosilicate glass pressware at Jaipur, Rajasthan.

This will help the company to reduce its dependence on imports, improve its product offerings, cater to domestic and overseas demand for pressware products made of borosilicate glass and also provide competitive edge to the company due to lower cost of production.
