BPCL to set up Rs. 340 crore LPG bottling plant in Bihar

The new LPG Bottling Plant will have a capacity of 180 Thousand Metric Tons Per Annum

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) has organised a curtain raiser media conference in Darbhanga, Bihar, ahead of the foundation stone laying ceremony by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The ceremony will mark the commencement of a state-of-the-art LPG Bottling Plant, which is being built by BPCL at Hathua in Gopalganj District, Bihar.

The project, worth Rs. 340.15 crore, is scheduled to be completed by March 31, 2027.

The new LPG Bottling Plant will have a capacity of 180 Thousand Metric Tons Per Annum (TMTPA) and will be equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a railway unloading siding for efficient LPG receipt and storage, Mounded Storage Vessels (MSV) for safe storage.

This project will meet the enhancing demand of LPG in North-West Bihar and North Central Bihar & is expected to generate estimated total employment for 1.2 lakh man-days during the construction stage.

D.K. Ojha, DDG, MOP&NG and S. Abbas Akhtar, Executive Director (PR & Brand) and other officials from BPCL were present at the press conference.
