Cosmo First Limited has strengthened its workplace safety framework with the successful attainment of ISO 45001:2018 certification across its major manufacturing units in Waluj, Shendra and Karjan. This marks a significant validation of its occupational health and safety systems.

The certification recognises the company’s structured Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) and its compliance with globally benchmarked safety protocols aimed at reducing workplace risks and improving employee well-being across its industrial operations.

At its Waluj facility in Maharashtra, the certification spans the design, development, marketing and manufacturing of multiple film products including BOPP (across several lines), BOPET and CPP films, as well as metallizing, coating and extrusion coating operations.

The Shendra plant, also in Maharashtra, has been certified for BOPP film production through biaxial orientation processes, along with metallizing, coating and extrusion coating activities serving diverse applications.

In Gujarat, the Karjan facility certification covers BOPP and CPP film manufacturing, alongside metallizing, lamination and coating processes—further consolidating Cosmo First’s integrated production capabilities across its network.

Speaking on the milestone, Kulbhushan Malik, Global Business Head, Cosmo Films said, "The ISO 45001 certification for our plants is a testament to Cosmo First’s consistent focus on creating a safe and resilient work environment. As we continue to scale our operations and invest in future-ready capabilities, ensuring the highest standards of occupational health and safety remains integral to our growth journey."
