Dow Chemical International (Dow India) is recognised as one of the Best Companies for Women in India (BCWI) – Manufacturing, Hall of Fame (5 years in Best Companies) and Most Inclusive Companies Index (MICI), 2024 by Avtar & Seramount.

This year's evaluation included 361 companies from various industries. The honour highlights Dow India's significant role in fostering an inclusive environment for women to excel.

"We are very happy on being recognised as Best Companies for Women in India – Manufacturing, and also for being featured in the Hall of Fame (5 years in BCWI) and in the Most Inclusive Companies Index. These recognitions are acknowledgement of our commitment and actions towards creating an inclusive work culture at Dow," stated Chandrakant Nayak, CEO and Country President, Dow India. "Embracing diversity leads to economic growth and unique solutions that benefit every stakeholder. We are proud to have more women in leadership roles and promote a workplace where diverse perspectives thrive, allowing us to impact society positively and work towards a more equitable future."

On the occasion of the release of 9th edition of BCWI, Dr Saundarya Rajesh, Founder – President, Avtar Group said, “We are at a unique, paradox and juncture in India today with respect to women's participation in the workforce. At Avtar, we are committed to raising the bar on gender diversity, equity and inclusion and this year's study takes one more step in that direction - of recognising emerging companies on their initiatives towards increasing and enabling women in the workforce. It is remarkable to witness how organizations across geographies are increasingly committed to creating work environments where diversity is empowered to thrive.

The BCWI study and the MICI continue to be a beacon of progress and as we move forward, we remain committed to enabling workplaces where equality is not just a goal, but a reality. We are thrilled to congratulate the companies recognised in the listing this year, for their unwavering commitment to DEI in their actions and spirit.”

Commenting on the MICI study, Subha V. Barry, President, Seramount, said, “Most Inclusive Companies Index helps companies in India focus their efforts to understand gaps and provide specific strategies, programs, tools, and resources to help raise the standard on DEI strategies for under-represented talent including gender, LGBTQ+, PWD, and different generations. We celebrate the leadership, employees, and initiatives that foster an inclusive environment where women and all talent can thrive.”
