Aether Industries confirms the reports of a fire incident that occurred on Wednesday, 29th November 2023, at approximately 01:35AM IST, at Plant 2 and Unit 2 of the factory complex in Sachin, Surat.

The cause of the fire is being ascertained by the company personnel and the GIDC fire department.  

According to preliminary information, 22 workers at the plant have been injured in the fire incident and have been evacuated to appropriate emergency healthcare facilities for treatment of injuries. The injured personnel are stable and under medical supervision. Damage control and assessment are underway to ascertain any casualty resulting from the fire incident. 

The fire was brought under control at approximately 08:30AM IST with the use of internal fire safety equipment and trained team at our plant along with the help from fire tenders from GIDC Sachin, Surat areas along with help from other factories in the vicinity. Other than Plant 2 and Unit 2, all other areas of the factory complex including the QC area, storage, and quarters were not affected.  

Safety remains a top priority at Aether Industries as we operate within strict safety guidelines to curb potential fire outbreaks and other health and safety risks from happening at any of our manufacturing sites. We are actively working and cooperating with the relevant authorities to secure the well-being of our workers on-site and ascertain the cause of this unfortunate incident.
