Garware Hi-Tech Films to invest Rs. 118 crore to set up India's first TPU Extrusion plant

The proposed capacity will be added in 18 months and the plant will be commercial by October 2026

The Board of Directors of Garware Hi-Tech Films Limited (GHFL) has approved the proposal for setting up India's first TPU Extrusion plant at Waluj, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra with a capital expenditure of Rs. 118 crore and will be funded through internal accrual. The proposed capacity of the plant will be 360 LSF per annum. The proposed capacity will be added in 18 months and the plant will be commercial by October 2026.

This line will enhance our manufacturing capabilities, optimize operational costs and support future market demand, says Monika Garware, Vice Chairperson and Joint Managing Director, Garware Hi-Tech Films Limited.

The output from this new line will support the input requirements of both the existing and upcoming PPF production lines, ensuring seamless integration into our manufacturing processes while driving cost savings. Additionally, this line will accelerate our R&D process and further expand our value-added product portfolio, thus strengthening our market position.
