Graphite India Limited (GIL), a major established graphite materials producer, has formed an exclusive distribution and commercial partnership with Kivoro, a graphene technology innovator spun off from Graphenea. The agreement centers on introducing Kivoro's advanced Graphene-based Heat Transfer Additive (HTA) technology to the Indian market.

Under this strategic partnership, GIL is the sole distributor of the HTA technology across India, specifically targeting applications within the rapidly growing, efficiency-focused corrugated paperboard industry. The primary goal is to leverage thermal performance improvements provided by the HTA to substantially decrease energy consumption and operating costs in this sector.

Kivoro's proprietary additive dramatically improves heat transfer efficiency in corrugator plants, which translates into several operational benefits: increased production speed (higher throughput), reduced reliance on steam, and better quality final products. By combining Kivoro's cutting-edge innovation with GIL's extensive market reach and strong customer network in India, the collaboration aims to speed up the adoption of this technology and aid in modernizing corrugated paperboard production facilities nationwide.

"This agreement marks an exciting milestone as we scale our graphene-enabled solutions globally," said Jesus de la Fuente, CEO of Kivoro. "India is one of the world's most dynamic corrugated markets, and GIL's industrial legacy, customer trust, and technical expertise make them the ideal partner to bring our HTA technology to producers who are pursuing energy efficiency, productivity, and sustainability."

Speaking on the partnership, Siddhant Bangur, Business Development Executive at Graphite India, added: "Graphite India has long been committed to introducing high-impact innovations that deliver strong operational benefits to the Indian market. Kivoro's graphene-based Heat Transfer Additive is exactly the kind of breakthrough that the Indian industry is seeking, and we look forward to bringing this world-class technology to partners across the corrugated value chain."
